The sun washes the windows warm,
The house expands,
Bathed in the gaze of the Divine.
For a moment I too expand
To predictable noises
Outside my window,
And to the hush that vibrates
Ground me in this glory,
In all that is sacred and still
This is my prayer today.
About this poem:
There are times when being still and listening, really listening, is the most sacred prayer of all.
