Of Men And Sky

The wind teases out a song,
breathing symphonies
in to the warm air,
coaching delight with sun stained kisses
that tickle my ear.
I am intrigued.
The reptile tree blushes from above,
her glory expands with the breeze.

She loves the scrutiny.

I sit under the pine cones
with bare feet pressed on to Gaia’s face
rearranging twigs with my toes,
frisbees launched from childhood
boomerang back into the hands of men.

Dad stands on a skateboard
earnest in the desire to play,
or flee like the frisbee
on the wind’s tail.

I can’t tell.

I sit under the pine cones
while the birds whistle
and men wrestle under blue sky.
